“ Busy little place, serving lovely homemade food. We popped in after a quick dog walk for tea & cake, and a cheeky plate of chips! Lovely place, friendly staff & nice food. We loved the ‘proper’ home style chips, reminds me of my Mum’s when I was a kid. Made me smile. ”
“ Lovely cafe/farm shop in a lovely setting. We called in today while out on a bike ride. Been passed many times, but this was the first time we've called in. We both went for the Full English breakfast, and I had a flat white coffee also, my friend GP had a can of real Coke. The breakfast was wonderful. As someone who enjoys a proper cooked breakfast, I can honestly say this was one of the best I've had. It's not huge, nor is it small, the ingredients are first class. 2 slices of bacon, a sausage, an egg, half a grilled tomato, beans, a slice of black pudding, some tasty properly cooked mushrooms and a slice of toast. My only slight complaint, well, more of a preference, would be that the flat white coffee was stronger. The lady who served us was really friendly and helpful too, which isn't always the case in some farm shop cafes. We will definitely call again. ”

This hidden gem is a must-visit for anyone in the area. The farm shop is absolutely fantastic, boasting an impressive array of fresh and locally sourced produce. From mouth-watering cuts of meat to an abundance of fruits and vegetables, the selection on offer is truly remarkable. The quality of the food is exceptional, and it's clear that great care has been taken to ensure that only the finest products are available for customers. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and more than happy to help with any queries or recommendations about the food, their passion for the produce they sell is evident and adds to the overall enjoyable experience of visiting the farm shop. As a food lover, I was in heaven as I explored the shelves, but the icing on the cake (quite literally) were the homemade cakes. An array of delicious treats awaited us in the cafe, each more enticing than the last. It's worth noting that if you plan on indulging in these delights, you might want to skip eating the night before, as the portion sizes are generous, and you'll want to save room to try as many as possible! The only minor criticism I have is the slight lack of parking available at the property. The farm shop and surrounding areas are considerably larger than the parking facilities on offer. This is, however, a small blemish on an otherwise fantastic experience, and I would still highly recommend a visit to Toft Gate Barn, Just make sure you arrive with an empty stomach! ”
“ Fabulous! Brilliant food grown and created on the farm. Excellent staff. Lovely interior with spectacular views. Only the slightly muddy / pot-holey entrance let's your initial impressions down. Once you're over the threshold you'll be wanting to return! Food and portions are great, lovely cakes and super hot drinks. Not the cheapest but with this quality you don't mind. Wheelchair friendly if you let them know, you can access from round the back. ”

“ Set in a beautiful location with breathtaking views. Plenty of seating both inside and out, breakfast cooked to perfection. Not all the breakfast items were available. This has happened 2 times now. However, they did compensate by offering something in placement . Enjoyed a lovely capachino seated near a log fire, very cosy. Staff were very friendly, place is well maintained and clean ”
“ We stopped here mid morning after a visit to Coldstone Cut. It is a lovely converted barn with food and drink available and a fantastic view! We didn’t plan on visiting so had already had breakfast so just ordered a croissant each but I wish we had planned it, the breakfasts being served around us looked amazing!! We will be coming back to try them next time we are staying nearby. We couldn’t believe the size of the sausage rolls and scotch eggs on offer too they were huge!! Staff were lovely and welcoming and the place is really cute and quirky. Loved the unique gate light fitting hanging from the ceiling! Well worth a visit and if you find yourself here pop along to Coldstone Cut for a treat of some stunning views and artwork! ”
